wow, it has been a while and life has been very crazy. there have been many travels and adventures with friends. the past couple weekends saw myself in las vegas a couple of times and los angeles over this past weekend. saw prince in concert and it was quite an experience. i also saw the lakers lost game one of the finals. it has been a while and many exciting things have happened. wish i can tell y'all everything right now, but it would be way too much to cover. until next time, may your dreams of success and a life of luxury come true. | | Monday, May 10th, 2004 | | 6:24 pm |
haven't updated for a while, sorry about that (for all two of you that actually pays attention when I do post). life has been more down than up lately with more bad news than good. it sucks even worse that the bad news are situations that are completely out of my hand. for me, situations are like remote controls for tv, i prefer to have them in my hand so i can do something about them. life is really rough right now and nothing else really matters to me. okay, that's it for now. let me leave y'all with a quote: "I don't want to achieve immortality through my work. I want to achieve it through not dying." | | Thursday, April 29th, 2004 | | 12:08 pm |
it's been another week in the life of me. new york city was awesome. i enjoyed every aspect of my visit. i also got to visit with a friend who i haven't seen for a little more than a year. the visit also included a wedding that i have to go to and it was a very beautiful ceremony. the visit to columbia university was good, i liked the environment. along with las vegas, new york city is my kind of place, i really liked the atmosphere there. however, as much as i love everything there, i am not going there. i just don't want to go to school again just yet and i feel like something is missing in my life right now. also, my friends are still here in pocatello and i have a job i love here. so graduate school will just most likely have to wait. nothing is happening this week, i am actually homebound for once. however, i will be doing some serious cooking for friends. i'll let y'all know how that went. until next time, this is Chris leaving you with a quote: "Honesty may be the best policy, but it's important to remember that apparently, by elimination, dishonesty is the second-best policy." | | Wednesday, April 21st, 2004 | | 4:17 pm |
well, back for another week of journal update. so i visited university of oregon, the visit was not that great. the city of eugene was okay, i don't find it that enticing. the school was a good school, especially with the companies that hire from there. my guide for the tour was a good guy, but he was a little annoying. he was also kind of geeky too, oh bless his heart. this weekend, i am going to new york city. a friend from back home is getting married. i get to catch a couple of red sox - yankees games, i also get to watch a knicks playoff game, and i am going to visit the campus of columbia university. i regard columbia university very highly in my list of interested schools because it's in new york and i love new york. well, i'll let you all know how that visit went in my next entry. everybody have a nice day. until next time ....................... | | Thursday, April 15th, 2004 | | 9:27 pm |
It's been another week. However, I've been out of it this week. ON the way back to work one day from lunch, I forgot to get off the freeway exit, therefore had to go all the way to the next exit before turning around and got back to work. I am just mentally drained this week. I am heading to Eugene, Oregon this weekend to check out University of Oregon and its surroundings as far as student life is concerned. Looking forward to it, will let everybody know how the visit went in my next entry. Getting pretty tired and it's only 9:30 pm, but good night anyways. Until next time ....................... | | Friday, April 9th, 2004 | | 3:27 pm |
It's been quite an eventful week this week, although most of the events are non-social. First I would like to raise a toast to one of my best friend Ryan, who will be moving to Boise tomorrow and start a new life/job over there. He is one of the great people I know out there and i wish him nothing but the best. During most of this week, I have been planning weekend trips for every weekend for the next four weeks. I am going to visit four of the five schools where I chose to send my GMAT test scores (BYU, Oregon, Columbia, Stanford, and USC). I am not going to visit BYU because I have already visited Provo, an additional visit would be unnecessary. As I have said before, I don't feel that graduate school is a priority in my life right now, but you never know, eh? I will keep an update on how each visit was like. Hope everything is swell with everybody. Until next time ........................ | | Wednesday, March 31st, 2004 | | 11:14 pm |
back for another entry. it's been a pretty quiet week besides work, and i enjoyed it. i took my test over the weekend, did good enough for any of the schools that i want my scores to be sent to, so i am glad in that respective. however, i still don't feel like being motivated to go to graduate school, most likely looking at next year. however, i manage to squeeze in a visit to columbia university later this month while i am going to be in new york anyways. columbia is one of the schools i chose to have my scores sent to. i think i will mainly visit just to check things out, get some feelings about life out there. no big plans this weekend, so don't look for much next week unless something exceptional happens. until next time .................................. | | Wednesday, March 24th, 2004 | | 7:29 pm |
well, it's been another week in the life of me. nothing really exciting. watched barenaked ladies in concert over the weekend, for the record, that would be the music band from canada. these guys are great friends with each other and they have so much fun playing music with each other, their energy just feeds off to the crowd, it was awesome. i also visited byu monday and checked out things down there for potential graduate school destination. nothing i saw really change my mind for or against the school. this saturday, i am going to take my GMAT test, kind of put myself under house arrest this week to do a little prepping each night for the test. so far i haven't seen anything that challenging. i don't think i would be doing too much prepping if i didn't have to pay $200 for the test. to be honest, graduate school is not a priority for me, but if i am to decide to go in the last minute, at least i would have a halfway okay score to back up my transcript. but friday, it's going to be "get out and have fun night before the big test" night, but in pocatello, i'll probably end up at hollywood video renting some movie that i regreted renting when i return it. i might have other plans friday, never know. then i am flying off to take my test saturday. well, that's all for now, have to get back to prepping, until next time .............. | | Thursday, March 18th, 2004 | | 1:36 pm |
The week that was
Well, it has been a little more than a week since I last posted an entry. Life during the week is normal, just work and then hang out with friends sometimes. I am currently sitting at work right now, toggling between entering this journal, checking on NCAA Basketball Tournament scores on espn.com, and a phony powerpoint presentation just in case the office supervior happens to walk by my desk. I went to Detroit last weekend to visit some people. I visited with my late best friend's widower, son, and parents. The widower, his son, and I went to a Detroit Red Wings hockey game, it was fun. It seems everybody is trying to move on with life, which is a good thing. We all miss her very much, and I get one of those feelings when I see one of her photos at her parents' place or when we talk about old times. This weekend, I am going to watch Barenaked Ladies in concert in Salt Lake City. Then I am heading down to Provo and hopefully get a campus visit/interview at BYU for possibly going to graduate school there. I am taking my GMAT test for graduate school on Saturday the 27th at 1 pm in Boulder at the University of Colorado. Still pondering on whether to prepare for it. I think I'll be fine without studying. The good thing about the test is that I get my score when I get done taking the test, so therefore no worrying about my score for like a couple of weeks. I don't even know what school to send my score to. I think it's mainly because I don't see graduate school as a priority and therefore not so important, but I'll probably send the score somewhere. Well, better get back to "work". Until next time.................. | | Tuesday, March 9th, 2004 | | 11:18 pm |
Initial Entry
This is my first entry. My friend Andrew signed me up for this service. I believe this will be very neato. I get to write down my thoughts whenever I am capable of coming up with them. I will probably write about my travels, my social life, and my love life. So basically I will be writing about my travels and my social life. I am going to enjoy putting things down in here for people to read and to read all y'all journal entries. That is all for now, have a good one. |
